Success begins with efficient and consistent self-management, and effective self-management is the basis for an individual's professional success and life happiness. Self-management is a critical job skill in the workplace, and people with self-management skills know how to make decisions and take actions in different situations. Only by learning to manage ourselves can we utilize our resources and potential and bring them into full play with maximum efficiency. Only then can we adapt to the needs of the workplace and make ourselves a person who is likely to succeed. Those elites who have made great contributions to human society, they do not have any special talent, only one thing is different from ordinary people, that is, they have a strong self-management ability, to a large extent, it is the super self-management ability to achieve their successful life path.
Learning and developing self-management skills is an introspective process that requires honesty and a deep understanding of one's emotional intelligence, self-control, and behavioral style. Successful self-managers share the following characteristics:
Work is very self-control, less interference by external factors; Strong tolerance for setbacks and disappointments; Strong self-care ability; Have a plan and get a sense of accomplishment from completing the plan on time; High emotional intelligence, can understand and control their own emotions, can think in other people's shoes, understand and understand the emotional changes of others. Human resources experts and organizational behaviorists attribute all these factors to strong self-management skills. Although it is not easy for a person to acquire these substances, these self-management traits or skills can be acquired through training and learning.
(A) What is self-management
The so-called self-management refers to the individual's management of themselves, their own goals, thoughts, psychology and behavior, etc., the organization of their own abilities and resources, their own management, restraint and motivation, and finally complete the goal of self-struggle. In the simplest terms: Self-management is the ability to regulate behavior, thoughts, and emotions in a conscious, productive way. Self-management is a science and art of self-cognition, self-organization, self-motivation, self-supervision, self-regulation, self-evaluation, self-awareness, self-exercise and self-reflection, which enables individuals to gradually improve themselves through scientific and purposeful training, so as to achieve self-realization, self-achievement and self-transcendence. It is also an automatic regulation function to fully mobilize their own minds. The science and art of maximizing one's own potential and more effectively exploring and realizing one's own maximum social value and responsibility. Self-management is spontaneous. Spontaneity is when no one asks or forces you to do your own thing consciously and well.
(2) Success requires self-management
Everyone wants to be successful and is exploring the secret of success. But there is a fine line between those who succeed and everyone else. This boundary is not a mark of special circumstances or high intelligence, nor is it simply a difference in higher education or talent, nor does it depend on luck, but on the ability to manage oneself effectively.
In this world everyone is a manager, or at least a self-manager, but self-management is an important and most difficult management. The American contemporary spiritual inspirational writer Jackson Brown once had an interesting analogy: "Without the talent of self-management, it is like an octopus wearing roller skates, watching the movement constantly, but can't figure out whether it is going forward, backward, or in circles." If you're really putting in the effort and you're not seeing a lot of results, then you really need to re-examine your self-management skills.
Success requires effective self-management. There are some very outstanding people around us, they radiate a different light, or they are very outstanding in their studies, or they are very successful in their careers, or they are living a happy life that everyone admires, in short, they are going nowhere in their life, as if they were born to be lucky people. In fact, those who are successful, whether in intelligence or appearance, are not much different from us, in terms of qualifications are also very ordinary, and God does not favor them particularly. Just because they know how to let good self-management habits create good opportunities for them. Going deep into those so-called outstanding people, it is not difficult to find that they do have different characteristics from the average person, their hearts are never bound, almost stubbornly adhere to their ideals, for which they are willing to bear the burden; They have clear career goals and decisive action; They always have a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards life; They have an effective self-discipline life, and no vanity, practical attitude to life; They can adjust their emotions and health in the midst of stress, so they deserve to be blessed with life and stand out from the mediocre.
